You are cordially invited to attend the International Symposium
of the Chair Berghmans-Dereymaeker on Foot and Ankle Biomechanics
in Limelette (Belgium) on October 21st – 22nd,
2011.
The purpose of the Chair is to perform fundamental research
related to the biomechanics of the foot-ankle complex, with special
emphasis on the hind foot. Titulars of this chair are Professor ir.
Jos Vander Sloten and Professor Ilse Jonkers. The symposium,
organized by this chair, offers an exciting multidisciplinary
research program presenting keynote and invited lecturers covering
aspects ranging from in vitro analysis of foot motion, foot
modeling, imaging and in vivo work bringing all knowledge to
clinical practice.
An optional workshop on 3D gait analysis focusing on foot
function in the new gait lab of the faculty of Kinesiology and
Rehabilitation Sciences (FABER, K.U.Leuven) is offered in the
morning of the first day. Stay tuned for more information as our
plans include many new ideas evolve!
