About us

Welcome to the website of Traffic Planning and Highway Engineering. The research unit Traffic Planning and Highway Engineering is  part of the Centre for Industrial Management, a division of the Mechanical Engineering department of the Faculty of Engineering.Under about you will find the structure, all the contact information as well as the geographical location of the division.

 

Research

The research programme of the team covers multiple themes: policy analysis and transport system analysis, systematic design of transport networks, intelligent transportation systems, safety, accessibility and sustainability (environment) aspects of the transport system,… You can find an extensive amplification and a description of our current projects on the research page.

 

Education

As for education, the division takes care of two courses within the master programme of Civil Engineering and intial master traffic logistics and ITS (Dutch program VLITS).

 

Publications

We have published a number of literatures on a wide range of research fields. You can go to the publications page to check and download the available papers. If there is no download link existing,  please contact the corresponding author to obtain the paper. 

HOTSPOT: The book New Developments in Transport Planning: Advances in Dynamic Traffic Assignment was released on June 2010. MT-ITS2011
